Vintage Japanese Kokeshi Wooden Bobblhead Doll W/ Hat Hand Painted Trees 3"

This is a vintage Japanese wooden doll known called a kokeshi. This kokeshi is of the bobble head variety and is dressed in wide brimmed hat over a hair scarf. She is exquisitely hand painted with tiny trees and a misty mountain by a master of the craft. An exceptional example of kokeshi painting. She has the remnants of a "made in japan" sticker on the bottom.

Having been in storage for several decades, it remains in overall fine vintage condition and has a beautiful warm patina that shows the decades. There are some scuffs and dents. She measures about 7 1/2" ( 19 cm) tall and3 1/2" at the widest (9cm).
