Antique Japanese Meiji Era small Ceramic Blue & White Hibachi Brazier 6”

This is an antique Japanese ceramic hibachi likely from the Meiji era (1868-1912). In beautiful cobalt blue glaze it has chrysanthemum flowers in bloom as well as bamboo and foliage  . Traditionally in Japan a hibachi is considered an enclosure for fire, usually hot coals sitting on a bed of ash used to help heat small spaces, lite a pipe or warm water for tea.
