Antique Japanese Choshi Cast Iron Sake Warmer Enamel Inside Ume 9"L

This is an antique Japanese Meiji Era (1868-1912) Choshi (iron pot) of Sake warmer. It is made of cast iron with a copper handle and has a raised plum blossom motif around the kettle. It is made of very thick iron to hold the heat longer.

There are two identical choshi in a set with presentation box. if both kettles are purchase then the box will be included.

Having been in storage for much of the past 100 years and seldom used, it remains in fine condition.
