Japanese Mini Iron Tea Kettle Tetsubin Enamel Lined Interior

This is a Japanese Showa Era tetsubin (iron tea pot). It is made of cast iron and is very small, only 4" in diameter to steep tea. The body features pine needles rounds beneath a ringed "sky" under the lid. The lid itself is decorated in the same style.

It is made of iron to hold the heat. The water from this tetsubin pours clear and will continue to do so as long as the pot is properly cared for. This tetsubin is lined in enamel and so cannot be placed on direct heat.

It measures about 5 x 4.5 x 5" (12.5 x 11 x 12.5 cm) including the handle and the spout.
