JAPANESE FABRICS In addition to the furoshiki pictured below, we
have haori, wedding kimono, formal kimono, shop jackets and obi belts.
Please inquire with requests. These hand crafted furoshiki were used as
package wrappers in Edo and Meiji period Japan (mid 1800s - early 1900s).
They are cotton, dyed with various patterns using a paste resist method and
indigo blue dye, forming crisp lines and bold patterns. Because of their
age and use they may have some signs of age such as mended areas, small patches
or stains. Please inquire on the condition of any of these pieces you are
